1. How can ProCell help me with product mislabeling issues?

Since ProCell is tightly integrated into the production process, labels generated by ProCell are printed on demand at the production cell and limited to only active part numbers. Part number selection for shipping labels can be automatically determined by pack size or manually by operator selection via the visual part identification option. ProCell can print up to 4 different types of labels at the same time. The printing of shipping and serialized labels, or reject tags directly at the machine helps to avoid the mix up of pre-printed or batch labels.

2. How can I track operator usage of my machines?

The integrated biometric fingerprint scanner authorizes certain users to have access to the machine. There are no passwords, badges or keys required. The machine cycle can be inhibited until an authorized user has logged in. You'll know exactly that a certain operator has started the process at a certain time.

3. How can I ensure that my machine operators get the latest instruction sheets?

With the ProVue/ProCell solution, documents of all types can be delivered electronically to the shopfloor. You can require that each operator confirm their viewing of the document before enabling the machine for production. Deliver urgent communications, documents, quality alerts or diagrams in real time and enforce the viewing of them by the operators. Reviewing of any document is also just a simple selection away.

4. I have a fault condition that occurs on a machine that requires urgent attention. How can I require that the correct individual handle the situation?

ProCell's fault acknowledgement feature allows you to inhibit the machine operation until authorized personnel have resolved the issue. ProCell will wait until the fault condition has been resolved and acknowledged, via the fingerprint scanner by an authorized person, before resuming production.

5. How can I track how long my machine has been down and why?

The downtime tracking feature of ProCell provides the capability to collect and track down time information. You can choose to have sensored (automatically detected) and non-sensored (manually detected) events recorded. ProCell can inhibit the machine operation until a valid downtime reason has been given by the operator.

6. How can I monitor the status of my shopfloor operations?

Utilizing the production monitor feature of ProVue Server you can monitor your shopfloor operations in real time. You can see faults, idle machines, production counts, scrap counts and cycle times all from one screen which gives you the ability to visually see where your production issues are occurring.

7. How can I determine the number of parts that are rejected or scrapped?

The scrap reporting feature of ProCell will track the quantity and reasons for the scrapping/rejection of parts. You can reject parts by part number or serial numbers. Information can be entered manually or scanned with the optional barcode scanner.
